Radiologic Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes, performing a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures while acquiring and analyzing diagnostic data. They are responsible for ensuring correct patient identification, corroborating clinical history, optimizing technical factors while maximizing patient safety, and assisting licensed practitioners with specialized procedures.
Candidates must graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology, and new graduates are required to obtain ARRT-R registry within six months of hire. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of one year of related work experience, along with maintaining Basic Life Support Certification.
New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of the date of hire. Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2 within 24 months.
