The Radiology Technologist assists physicians by preparing patients and operating x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images during diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures. Key duties involve ensuring patient safety and comfort, explaining procedures, prioritizing workflow, and maintaining technical competency in image acquisition and quality critique.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be a graduate of an accredited Radiology program, with two years of diagnostic radiology experience preferred. Required licensure includes ARRT certification or registry eligibility, and applicable state licensure, along with knowledge of radiographic equipment and age-specific patient care modification skills.

Classification: Non Exempt
The Radiology Technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images.
High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
ARRT or registry eligible required. Registry eligible technologist must successfully complete the ARRT certification exam in Radiology within 12 months of hire. Applicable state licensure as required.
Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures. Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly.
