The Medical Assistant provides high-quality, patient-centered care under supervision, supporting clinical operations by preparing exam rooms, collecting patient data including vitals, and assisting providers with in-office procedures and testing. Duties also involve maintaining supplies, ensuring patient flow efficiency, upholding safety standards, and coordinating referrals and patient education.
Candidates must complete a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program and possess a High School Diploma or GED, along with current BCLS certification (AHA, in-person only). Proficiency in phlebotomy, EHR systems, clinical procedures, and aseptic technique is required, while national MA certification is preferred.
The Medical Assistant (MA) is a key member of the clinical care team, providing high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of licensed providers and the office manager. The MA supports clinical operations in a team-based, integrative care environment, ensures efficient patient flow, maintains patient safety, and communicates effectively with patients and staff. All duties are performed in accordance with NYS guidelines.
Usd $26.82 - Usd $30.84 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
