The technologist performs routine and emergent radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring proper patient positioning, technique selection, and radiation protection according to departmental policies. Responsibilities also include patient interaction, updating medical history, documenting procedures, and maintaining necessary room supplies.
Candidates must possess at least one year of experience and an Associate's Degree or equivalent education. Required credentials include current licensure for radiologic/x-ray equipment in Illinois, CPR Certification, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration, and IEMA Certification.
12. May assist in the transport of patients to and from patient care areas such as ER, ICU, and nursing units.

Associate's Degree or equivalent
Current licensure to operate radiologic/x-ray equipment in the State of Illinois
CPR Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration
