  • Administration: Start and monitor IV therapy, ensuring safe and effective fluid administration.

  • Monitoring: Assess client’s physical health, including vital signs, and monitor their response to treatment.
  • Infection
  • Management: Prevent and manage infections associated with IV therapy.
  • Assessment: Conduct physical assessments, including evaluating mental status, and identify any contraindications to IV therapy.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, therapy services, assessments, and treatment responses.
  • Client
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with clients about their therapy, ensuring they understand the process and feel comfortable throughout their treatment.

Qualifications

  • Education/Certification: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Required Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and medical practice functions.
  • Expertise in venous access with the ability to access peripheral veins.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in vascular access or IV infusion, with strong venous access skills.
