Marshfield Medical Center - Dickinson is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician to join the Emergency Department in Iron Mountain, Michigan. You will join a team with excellent support from colleagues and well-trained, dedicated support staff. This is a trauma level four center. The expected volume is about 18,500 patients seen per year.
Shift Scheduling Model: 12-hour shifts, 10 to 11 shifts per month = 1600 hours per year

Located in the Central Upper Peninsula, bordering Northwestern Wisconsin, Iron Mountain is tucked between the endless fresh coast shorelines of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior.
Iron Mountain has Ford Airport located in Kingsford, which is serviced by Delta Air Lines and has flights daily to Detroit, Michigan and Minneapolis, Minnesota, for easy access to the rest of the world!

Successful completion of an Emergency Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than the above, may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process as defined in the Credentialing Policy. Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement. (Refer to each entity’s policy for grandfather exceptions) Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements will supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications, criteria, and scope of practice, if variation between documents exists.
