The pharmacist ensures the safety and appropriateness of medication therapy through order verification, dispensing, reconciliation, and clinical consultation with practitioners. This role also involves overseeing the medication dispensing process and supervising pharmacy technicians and interns.
A Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D or Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an accredited school is required, with no prior experience necessary. Candidates must obtain Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification within 90 days and hold the relevant state Pharmacist license for the work location.
