The emergency physician will assess, treat, admit, or discharge patients of all age groups presenting to the emergency department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition, covering the full spectrum of emergency medicine including pediatrics, acute illness, medical, surgical, and trauma.

Marshfield Medical Center - Minocqua is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician to join the Emergency Department in Minocqua, Wisconsin.
This practice of medicine is in an acute and sub-acute setting.
The emergency physician’s role is to assess, treat, admit, or discharge any patients that seek medical attention - day or night.
This opportunity includes the full spectrum of emergency medicine including pediatrics, acute illness, medical, surgical, and trauma.
If desired, this opportunity has the option of working with medical students.
Shift Scheduling Model: 12-hour shifts, 10 to 11 shifts per month = 1600 hours per year

Emergency Medicine Core Privileges include the ability to assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical examinations and provide initial treatment to patients of all age groups, who present to the emergency department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition.
M.D. or D.O. degree.
Successful completion of an Emergency Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than the above, may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process as defined in the Credentialing Policy. Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement. (Refer to each entity’s policy for grandfather exceptions) Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements will supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications, criteria, and scope of practice, if variation between documents exists.
