A Nurse Resident is a new graduate Registered Nurse providing direct clinical care while developing knowledge, skills, and behaviors introduced in formal education. Responsibilities include demonstrating competency in core functional areas such as evidence-based practice, interprofessional collaboration, leadership, and professionalism.
Applicants must possess an Associate of Science in Nursing and have 0-12 months of professional RN experience upon hire, along with a Registered Nurse license in Kentucky and current Basic Life Support - CPR certification. Candidates must pass the NCLEX and achieve RN licensure before the cohort start date; provisional licensure is not accepted.
