The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is responsible for safely and accurately administering medications to residents in a nursing home setting under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Essential functions include medication administration, accurate documentation, providing compassionate resident care, and adhering to all compliance and safety regulations.
Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a Certified Medication Aide program, along with meeting any necessary state-specific requirements. Required abilities include effective communication and providing proof of a valid driver's license and auto liability insurance if driving is required for assignments.
