The Admixture Technician performs technical aspects of medication preparation, including compounding and admixing drugs under physician supervision, while also being responsible for record keeping and inventory control with minimal supervision. Essential duties involve accurately calculating dosages, assisting with controlled drug counts, maintaining quality assurance activities like cleaning hoods and checking for outdates, and managing documentation for various medications.
The minimum requirement for the Senior level includes five to seven years of pharmacy experience with IV skills, and an oncology background or extensive IV preparation experience is preferred. Candidates must possess technical expertise, adaptability, sound judgment, a commitment to quality, and the physical ability to perform tasks requiring dexterity and lifting up to 40 lbs.
