Summary : The Unit Clerk performs clerical duties in the nursing unit and assists in coordinating the efforts of the health care team by receiving and disseminating information.
High School diploma or GED preferred Must be 18 years of age PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normally works in climate controlled office environment Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents. Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients.
