PURPOSE: Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Therapist provides mental health assessments, psychotherapy and substance abuse services to help clients overcome social, emotional and mental health challenges to enjoy a greater sense of well-being. Enhance the training, education, professionalism and quality of Outpatient Services and its staff.
Essential
DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide psychotherapy services and/or substance abuse counseling services within scope of expertise to individuals, couples, family and/or groups in a manner consistent with FCC’s mission, vision and values. Maintain full caseload, equal to no less than 70% of time allocated for psychotherapy. Adhere to all laws of client rights, confidentiality and privacy as governed by HIPAA, governing standards and FCC policies. Provide treatment of all FCC contracted services which may include Treatment Court Programs, Jail Programming, Family 2.0, and other groups that may be developed. Work with clients in a group setting, meet monthly with teams associated with agency contracts and keep Program Coordinator aware of updates/changes as needed. Maintain documentation and up to date releases. Provide necessary assessments and treatment plans with review in a timely manner. Maintain client files by utilizing the agency’s Electronic Health Record system, ensuring completed and timely documentation of provided services in accordance with agency policies and governing standards. Maintain positive relationships with referral sources and assure purchasers and clients they are receiving the highest quality services that focus on best practice and evidence based models with successful outcomes. Market a positive public image of services in communities served to maintain caseload requirements. Demonstrate high level of commitment and professionalism in the field through advocacy, training or education within the community. Actively participate in scheduled individual and/or group supervision, staff meetings and other agency meetings as requested. Facilitate two trainings a year on areas of expertise. Maintain certification/licensure in good standing and remain current in required hours of annual staff development. Perform community presentations or other outreach services as required. Maintain regular communication with direct supervisor to assure he/she is properly informed regarding program and service issues, concerns and updates.

Must meet core competency requirements: Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Recovery Model, CBT, Risk Assessment and one other approved specialty training.
