The primary function is to ensure the delivery of nursing care and related services for residents, complying with guidelines and standards. Responsibilities include planning and directing resident care, administering treatments, and supervising nursing assistants.
Candidates must possess a current State Professional Nurse License and preferably have CPR certification. A 2-year degree is required for this position.
The primary function of this position is to ensure the total delivery of nursing care and related services for all residents under their assigned area and in compliance with all federal, state and local guidelines, standards and regulations which govern the facility, and as directed by the Nursing Supervisor and/or Director of Nursing Services so as to ensure each resident’s medical, psychosocial and spiritual needs and wishes are met effectively and efficiently on a continuum.
Charge Nurse General: 65% 1. Plans, provides and directs resident care according to physician orders and the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care. 2. Administers drugs and treatments in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, standards, regulations and facility policies and procedures. 3. Completes resident assessments and develops/updates the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care. 4. Makes daily resident rounds and provides verbal and written reports to the Supervisor 5. Uses infection control techniques to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. 6. Maintains a safe work environment and exhibits safe work practices. 7. Assists subordinate positions in rendering of care and services as necessary and/or directed. 8. Answers resident call bells, regardless of assignment. 9. Adheres to, up-holds and enforces all facility policies and procedures. 12. Completes various documentation and reports as directed.
