The Primary Care Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, and supervises medical treatment for chronic conditions. They also participate in initiatives to prevent diseases and injuries in a correctional setting.
Candidates must have a medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited school and an active, unrestricted medical license. Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine is required, along with current DEA registration.
