The position involves performing x-ray functions and accurately documenting procedures within the EMR system while adhering to all licensure and regulatory guidelines in a courteous manner. Responsibilities also include maintaining necessary logs, managing supplies and equipment, and collaborating closely with staff to ensure proper workflow.
Candidates must complete formal radiologic technology coursework from an AMA-approved school and pass the ARRT examination within six months of hiring. Required qualifications include a current and valid New Jersey X-Ray Technician license, BCLS certification, and strong skills in critical thinking, organization, and customer service.
Performs x-ray functions, documents accurately in EMR system according to licensure and regulatory guidelines in a courteous, caring and respectful manner. Maintains appropriate logs and licensing according to state and Board Examiners. Responsible for maintaining all supplies and equipment. Maintains a close working relationship with staff to ensure proper workflow. Supports and assists other practice activities as necessary. Education Completion of formal radiologic technology coursework in a school approved by the Council on Education of the American Medical Association. Must have passed an examination within six (6) months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. Experience Previous experience in a clinic, medical office or off-site medical environment preferred. Skills Current and valid license from the State of New Jersey X-Ray Technician Board of Examiners. ARRT Certification preferred. BCLS certification required. Ability to use critical thinking skills (analytical, clinical reasoning, decision-making, problem-solving, time management, etc.). Outstanding interpersonal, service excellence behavior and customer service skills required. Strong orientation towards the provisions of high quality, cost effective and comprehensive medical care. Ability to use effective organizational and time management skills to set priorities and respond quickly to urgent/emergent situations. Strong communication both oral and written and presentation skills to convey information in a clear and concise manner to persons of varied age groups, customers and/or groups.
