About the role

The Neurosurgeon will provide comprehensive neurosurgical care, including cranial and spinal procedures, to both adult and pediatric patients within a hospital-based practice. Responsibilities also include managing inpatient and outpatient cases, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, and fulfilling shared call duties.

  • Opportunity Details We are seeking a full-time Neurosurgeon to join a hospital-based practice in McAllen/Edinburg, Texas. This role is centered on advanced cranial neurosurgery, including complex brain tumor resections, cerebrovascular procedures, and skull base surgery, with spinal cases as a complement to a primarily cranial caseload. You will work alongside a strong, collaborative care team with full institutional support, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional cranial neurosurgical care. Quick Facts

  • Practice Setting: Hospital-based neurosurgery group within South Texas Health System (STHS)
  • Support / Care Team: Multidisciplinary team including neurosurgeons, APPs, and support staff
  • EMR / Technology: Cerner electronic medical record system

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive neurosurgical care for cranial patients
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to deliver optimal outcomes
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical cases and shared call responsibilities
  • Document all patient care efficiently using Cerner EMR Compensation & Benefits

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
  • Active or eligible Texas medical license

Requirements
