The role provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. Responsibilities also involve promoting patient and family-centered care, educating patients and families on illness management, and participating in activities that promote safety and quality.
Minimum requirements include a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing with no prior experience required. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and less than two years of experience.

The unit provides care to a diverse population with a specialty in neuro-medicine and epilepsy monitoring unit. In the 12 bed EMU we work with physicians to induce and monitor patients with seizures. We also provide care to our neuro surgical patients offering an experience with both the medical and surgical population. Often our patients have multi-system clinical diagnosis’ providing the clinical nurse and graduate nurse with a solid foundation as they continue or as they start their nursing career.
