The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. This role involves positioning patients, selecting technical factors, and ensuring high-quality images while adhering to safety protocols.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited program of medical radiography and hold a valid state license. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and BCLS certification are required upon hire.

Job Summary The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support accurate and timely patient diagnosis and treatment. This role is responsible for safely positioning patients, selecting appropriate technical factors, and producing high-quality images in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and regulatory standards. The Radiologic Technologist applies professional judgment to ensure image quality, patient safety, and comfort, while adhering to radiation safety principles and quality control requirements. The position works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Essential Functions Reviews patient history and physician’s orders Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate Prepares equipment and supplies Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary Positions patient and performs imaging procedures Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure Enters, transmits and reports scan results Other duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Education Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) graduate of an accredited program of medical radiography (required) Licenses/Certifications Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice Upon Hire (required) ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire (required) Experience 1+ years radiologic tech experience (preferred) BCLS required
