The role involves providing direct patient care, evaluation, consultation, and intervention services using occupational therapy techniques for children with physical disabilities in various settings. This includes collaborating with families and healthcare teams to coordinate continuous care plans and educating patients on appropriate therapy methods.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of pediatric therapy experience is strongly preferred. Required licensure includes State of Connecticut Department of Public Health licensure in Occupational Therapy and current Basic Life Support/CPR certification within six months of hire.
