Under the direction of a physician, the technician performs Interventional Radiology and Invasive Cardiac Cath Lab procedures at a technical level, assisting with scrub, hemodynamic monitoring, and fluoroscopy image technique. The role also involves ensuring radiation safety during specified technical procedures.
Candidates must possess a current California Radiologic Technologist License and have four years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care hospital, including two years recently as an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab Tech III or Interventional Radiology Tech III. Required certifications include valid Fluoroscopy License, current BLS, and ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Under the direction of a Cardiologist, Radiologist, Surgeon, or Director-CVS performs Interventional Radiology and Invasive Cardiac Cath Lab procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical specified procedures including procedural scrub assist, hemodynamic monitoring, fluoroscopy image technique, radiation safety, and/or may be assigned other duties.
