The Interventional Lab RN provides specialized care to patients undergoing interventional/vascular procedures, requiring on-call availability and rapid response to the hospital. Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of equipment, medications, sedation, sterile technique, and radiation safety, while also providing leadership during emergencies.
Candidates must be a Licensed RN in Iowa or a compact state, possessing experience in critical care, telemetry, and/or cardiovascular settings. Required certifications include BLS and CORE.
Able to take call based on "on-call" policy. Strong EKG rhythm interpretation skills. Ability to provide leadership in Emergency or Code Blue roles. Maintain ability to perform in an assertive yet supportive manner when functioning with physicians in the procedural setting. Maintain knowledge of patient equipment and therapeutic modalities utilized in the Cath Lab. Maintain knowledge of medications and conscious sedation used in the Cath Lab. Complies with department policies regarding appropriate sterile technique and radiation safety. Participate in education, community activities and performance improvement projects. Oversees maintenance and provides troubleshooting of equipment.
Licensed RN in state of Iowa or compact state. Experience in critical care, telemetry and/or cardiovascular. BLS and CORE certification.
