The Certified Surgical Technologist functions primarily in a scrub role for operative and invasive procedures, which includes establishing and maintaining a sterile field, managing counts, and handling specimens and implants. They may also assist with circulating duties and participate in departmental quality improvement activities.
Candidates must possess active national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification and have completed a formal Surgical Technician program. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of the specific specialty and demonstrated ability in one-on-one sterile technique demonstration.
The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) functions in a scrub role for operative and other invasive procedures including establishing and maintaining a sterile field, specimen handling, counts, medications/solutions, implants and instrument processing and may assist with circulating duties, as well as, participate in activities related to standards and quality improvement for the specialty and the department. Salary Details: Hourly rate is determined by years of worked experience as a CST, and internal equity within organization. Minimum rate starting at $25.50, max of salary range is $38.30.
