The Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts therapy programs to facilitate the rehabilitation of individuals with physical or psychosocial disabilities by directing participation in selected activities and treatments. This role involves performing evaluations, developing treatment plans, executing effective treatment techniques, educating patients/families, and participating in discharge planning.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program and possess the necessary evaluation and treatment skills appropriate for the pediatric patient population. Requirements include professional initiative, good time management, interpersonal skills, and the physical ability to provide treatment and assist with patient/equipment mobility, along with holding or awaiting Ohio licensure.
