The Specialist-Pharmacist improves patient quality of life by delivering comprehensive clinical services to ensure optimal medication use and effective resource management, collaborating with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include managing pharmacy practice, participating in pharmacotherapeutic plans, supervising team members, providing education, and managing medication orders and sterile product preparation.
Candidates need a minimum of a Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy, along with a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency or three years of equivalent clinical experience. Required skills include advanced communication, computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office), high-level cognitive ability for order assessment, and teaching skills for precepting.
Improves patient's quality of life by providing comprehensive clinical services to patients in area of expertise to ensure optimal medication use and effective resource management, while considering pharmacoeconomic principles across the healthcare system. Works in collaboration with health care team members to accomplish goals. Performs other duties as assigned.
