About the role

The Patient Care Aide assists in patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN, focusing on total patient care and activities of daily living. This role requires proper utilization of PPE, infection control practices, and safe lifting techniques while communicating all aspects of patient care to supervising nurses.

Overview The Patient Care Aide is responsible for assisting in the care of patients under the direction of an RN and LPN.

Responsibilities

Assist with total patient care and assists with activities of daily living. Properly utilize PPE, infection control practices, and proper lifting techniques with proper body mechanics without causing injury to patient, self, or others. Communicates with the RN or LPN on all aspects of patient care.

Qualifications

Ability to read and write and exhibit proficiency in nursing assistant care and oral communication skills. Desirable characteristics include at least one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant, preferably in the area of application. Requirements

Candidates must possess the ability to read, write, and exhibit proficiency in nursing assistant care and oral communication skills. Desirably, applicants should have at least one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant, preferably in the relevant area.
