The Occupational Therapist/Assistant will perform comprehensive treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and develop home exercise programs with caregivers. They will also coordinate care among various providers and maintain accurate patient documentation.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have an active Occupational Therapy license in Texas and demonstrate reliability and flexibility. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred, along with experience in pediatric therapy and home health settings.
Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
QualificationsWhat you’ll need:
A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.
