The Medical Assistant performs routine clerical, administrative, and clinical duties, including gathering clinical data, notifying physicians of patient status, and assisting with patient encounters. They are also responsible for scheduling appointments, managing referrals, and ensuring compliance with health care regulations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a degree, diploma, or certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience. Current CPR certification is required, and prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
