Job Description

Specialty Orthopedic Group is currently seeking a confident and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to serve as the primary full-time provider at our Cleveland clinic. Candidate must be willing to travel to our Oxford clinic for training as needed. Mileage reimbursement for travel to clinics outside of assigned primary location is provided.

Role Description The Nurse Practitioner role will serve as the primary provider in our Cleveland clinic. This role offers a high level of autonomy in managing patient care, with the support and collaboration of orthopedic physicians who regularly rotate through the practice. The ideal candidate thrives in an independent setting while valuing teamwork and delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Manage an independent patient schedule with appropriate physician collaboration
  • Order and interpret imaging and diagnostic tests
  • Perform injections and in-office procedures as appropriate
  • Coordinate care with physicians, therapy teams, and ancillary services
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, recovery, and prevention
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR

Qualifications

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in Mississippi
  • Orthopedic, sports medicine, or relevant clinical experience preferred
  • Comfortable practicing with a high degree of independence
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in a leadership role within a clinic setting

Requirements

Candidates must possess a current Nurse Practitioner license in Mississippi and should ideally have experience in orthopedics or sports medicine. The role requires comfort with a high degree of independence, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a leadership role within the clinic setting.
