The Occupational Therapist assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers occupational therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence. This role involves training patients and caregivers on necessary skills to promote independence and productivity.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards and must have initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. A valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license, as required by the state of practice, is also mandatory.
