The role involves preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adult patients. Responsibilities also include providing aural rehabilitation and setting up augmentative and alternative communication systems for individuals with severe expressive or language comprehension disorders.
Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered state license to practice speech pathology and the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from an accredited program. A current CPR certification is also mandatory, with one year of experience preferred.
Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults. Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Other duties as assigned.
