Overview

• Performs a variety of CT and radiographic procedures for diagnosis and treatment requiring independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative.
• Provides basic ER and Inpatient bedside care and assistance under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager, physician or RN.
• The CT Tech must be able to function autonomously utilizing medical protocols and advanced skills under the direction of the hospital medical director .
• The CT tech must be effective with communication, clinical skills, and able to work positively in a high stress environment with patients, peers, families and other internal / external personnel.
• The CT tech is responsible for carrying out the mission and goals of UF Health ONH and UF Health Shands, assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the patient�s care.
• In addition to providing diagnostic X-ray and CT images, other duties will be assigned within the scope and licensure of the CT Tech.

• Licensure/Certification/Registration:: Must be registered by the ARRT. Must hold a current license from the State of Florida as a Certified Radiologic Technologist. Must hold CT certification upon hire. Must hold current BLS certification.
