The PRN Dentist will diagnose and treat oral health conditions through examinations, treatment plans, and procedures like fillings, cleanings, and extractions, while also educating patients on preventative care. Key duties include developing customized treatment plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate patient documentation by the end of the business day.
Candidates must possess a DDS or DMD from an accredited school and hold or be eligible for an Idaho dental license, along with necessary certifications like DEA license and BLS. Preferred experience includes at least one year of general dentistry practice or GPR/AEGD, coupled with strong clinical skills and a compassionate approach to serving diverse populations.
Description Heritage Health is seeking a dedicated and flexible PRN Dentist to provide coverage on an as-needed basis, primarily during staff vacations and other absences in Coeur d'Alene, ID. This role is ideal for a compassionate professional who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse and underserved population—including children, adults, and seniors. The PRN Dentist will play a vital role in supporting our mission to improve the oral health of our community through excellence in clinical care and a strong commitment to health equity.
Education: DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) from an accredited dental school.
Current dental license (or eligibility to obtain licensure by start date) in Idaho.
DEA license, Idaho controlled substance registration, NPI number, current BLS.
At least 1 year of experience practicing general dentistry or 1-year GPR/AEGD, preferred.
Strong clinical skills with a broad knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex dental issues in simple terms. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and with diverse patient populations.
