The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible and accountable for delivering patient care by implementing Nursing Service standards of care and practice appropriate to the ages of the patients served. This involves utilizing the nursing process for systematic assessment, formulating individualized care plans, documenting responses, and coordinating care activities with other health disciplines.
Candidates must be currently licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York and possess current BLS Certification, with ACLS preferred. A Bachelor in Nursing is preferred, and Medical Surgical experience is also preferred.
The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process. She/he implements the Nursing Service standards of care and practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served and the areas of clinical practice. Utilizes the nursing process in the systematic assessment and formulation of individualized plans of care to meet patient's needs. Documents data collection and assessment plans of care interventions and patient responses per policy. Collaborates with other health care disciplines to coordinate patient care activities and discharge plans. Position is at the Andrus and Dobbs Ferry Pavilions.
Bachelor in Nursing preferred. Currently licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Must possess current BLS Certification; ACLS preferred. Medical Surgical experience preferred.
