The Direct Support Professional assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with daily living activities and community integration. Responsibilities include driving participants to activities, implementing support plans, and providing personal care such as hygiene and medication assistance.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of valid driving experience with a valid driver's license. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and willing to participate in all community activities with clients.

Pay Range Denver: $20.23 – $22.87 an hour based off experience.
Assist program participants with daily living activities (e.g., hygiene, meals). Drive participants to community activities in agency vehicles. Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist with medication and gastrostomy-tube feeding. Implement Individual Service and Support Plans, document progress, and facilitate goal-oriented activities. Promote appropriate social interactions and address challenging behaviors. Adhere to trauma-informed care principles and provide a supportive environment. Participate in training, quality improvement processes, and team collaboration. QualificationsPhysical and Mental Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching in providing support to program participants with a variety of mobility challenges and program participant personal care assistance. May require the ability to lift 50 lbs. in lifting and transferring program participants. Requires normal range of vision and hearing for adequately supervising program participants. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of program participants with challenging behaviors. Push wheelchairs. Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position. This role combines hands-on support with meaningful community integration, making a positive impact daily.
