The LPN provides comprehensive patient care in a medical office, which includes preparing patients, administering treatments like injections and wound dressing, and assisting with minor surgeries under provider direction. They are also responsible for managing patient triage calls and maintaining accurate patient records and equipment sterilization.
Candidates must possess a valid LPN license in the State of Indiana and hold a current BLS/CPR Certification. Experience working in a physician's office is preferred for this role.
The LPN in a medical office provides comprehensive patient care under the provider's direction, including preparing patients for exams, administering medications and injections, dressing wounds, and assisting with minor surgeries. They interpret physician instructions, manage patient triage calls, maintain accurate records of vital signs and patient data, and ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment. Additionally, they may perform laboratory tests, record electrocardiograms, and handle administrative duties such as reception, secretarial tasks, and preparing billing statements.
