Under the director of the Director or Designee perform diversified duties including efficient performance of technical procedures in one or more units of the laboratory in order to produce quality and timely patient analysis to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease and to contribute to the solvency, efficiency and growth of the hospital by providing quality customer services.
Associates Degree or at 60 semester hours including a minimum of 6 semester hours in Biology, 6 semester hours in Chemistry and 3 years of Clinical Laboratory experience in the last 5 years under the supervision of a Medical Technologist. Certification as an MLT from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or comparable agency approved by the National Commission for Health Certifying agencies is required within two years of date of hire and if applicable maintain certification through ASCP or comparable approved agency. This is a Microbiology position, experience is preferred but willing to train an appropriate candidate. Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
