This physician will provide comprehensive care to adult oncology patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of cancer and related conditions, developing individualized treatment plans using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies. Key duties also involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, interpreting diagnostic data, and participating in tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree, be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology, and complete ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship. Eligibility for medical licensure in Massachusetts and DEA registration are also required.

Boston Medical Center South (BMC South), a member of the Boston Medical Center Health System, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Medical Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary oncology team. This physician will deliver high-quality, patient-centered cancer care in a community-based setting that is closely integrated with a leading academic medical center. The role offers the opportunity to practice across the continuum of oncology care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, active treatment, and survivorship. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to adult oncology patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of cancer and treatment-related conditions Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits, including treatment response and toxicity management Collaborate closely with radiation oncology, surgical oncology, infusion services, palliative care, and ancillary teams Interpret diagnostic testing, including imaging, pathology, and laboratory data Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case conferences Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs) and trainees Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and goals of care Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical program development, and potential research activities Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Qualifications Required MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology Completion of ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DEA registration (or eligibility) Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care Preferred Experience in community-based oncology practice Interest in program development, quality improvement, or clinical research Bilingual skills (highly valued given patient population) Practice Environment Community-based oncology program with academic affiliation to Boston Medical Center Multidisciplinary, team-based model of care Dedicated infusion services and support staff Opportunities for leadership, teaching, and program growth Compensation & Benefits Boston Medical Center Health System offers a competitive compensation model and comprehensive benefits package, including: Competitive base salary + incentives Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Generous PTO and CME allowance Retirement plan with employer contribution Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Robust health, dental, and vision coverage About Boston Medical Center South Boston Medical Center South is a community-focused hospital serving Brockton and surrounding communities.
