Challenging and rewarding position in our Inpatient Location providing behavioral health interventions in a structured, non-hospital setting that assists adults in overcoming behavioral health crisis. Services are provided in a locked facility with 24-hour nursing coverage on the premises, court ordered treatment is also provided. You will have the opportunity to be a pivotal change maker in the lives of clients by connecting them with community resources. Working in an acute care setting, no two days are the same; you will be challenged with varied of patients overcoming behavioral health crisis.
This is a Direct Care Provider position that will transition into an administrative position involving Care Coordinator and Utilization Review duties.
Schedule
Friday-Monday-10 hour shifts.
Pay
$18/hr.-$19/hr. Shift differential offered.
Essential Duties
Direct Care Provider
Provide assessments of members in crisis and assist in setting/reaching attainable goals.
Pre-vocational training
Documentation and case management
Crisis intervention
Individual and counseling services to seriously mentally ill members
Responsible for contributing to and creating a recovery-based environment.
Work with significant others and integrate them in the treatment plan where appropriate
Supervise and monitor members while on site.
Check vital signs as needed.
Administrative Duties
Reviews documents received and requests required documents to appropriate level of care for members.
Evaluates eligibility information regarding services and benefit package.

Maintain contact with utilization manager and out of home placement in order to ensure continued stay documentation, documentation of contact and coordination occurs as required and to ensure medical necessary services are received by members. Obtains prior authorizations from T/RBHAs when necessary.
Assists consumers, families or guardians in securing appointments with support services and agencies, as needed for KOU.
Assists with arranging for transportation for consumers for community services and/or medical appointments as needed for KOU
Maintains accurate, thorough and current documentation of contact with consumers, treatment progress and services received/provided.
Close coordination with the PCP health plan, stakeholders, and funding source will be maintained for all consumers.
To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.
Notify OP in INPT admission.
Apply for AHCCCS when needed.
Completes Certificate of Need (CON), and Re-Certification of Need (RON) documents.
Scan RONS and CONS into charts
Verify AHCCCS eligibility and Scan AHCCCS eligibility into charts.
Obtain authorizations from T/RBHAs and insurance when necessary
Update UR log
Follow up with internal and external agencies to address issues related to eligibility and enrollment.
Daily tracking of all authorizations, with use of Excel spreadsheet, to ensure correct authorization numbers and dates of service.
Daily communications with fund sources to secure authorization for inpatient services. Trouble shoots and resolves barriers with securing authorization for inpatient services.
Track funding sources daily and work closely with CFS for accuracy in Axiom.
Chart avadavat as necessary.
Requirements
Minimum requirement consists of a 22-year age
A High School Diploma/GED and two years of relevant experience; OR
A related Associate’s degree and six weeks of relevant experience; OR
A non-related Associate's degree and one year of relevant experience; OR
A related bachelor’s degree; OR
A non-related bachelor's degree plus six months of relevant experience in behavioral health
Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking preferred
Obtain Notary, start process within first 60 days of hire.
