Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or hold current CST certification, along with current BLS certification. Required health documentation includes a current TB test, Flu Shot, and proof of Hepatitis B and Varicella immunity, plus COVID-19 vaccination.

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/CST) to join our growing team at a Gastroenterology Surgical Center specializing in colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures.
This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who can support both clinical and administrative operations to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.
The Medical Assistant will perform a combination of clinical and administrative duties, assisting providers and nursing staff before, during, and after procedures. This position plays a critical role in maintaining patient flow, ensuring compliance with protocols, and delivering an excellent patient experience.
Qualifications: Previous experience in a healthcare setting (surgical center or GI experience preferred)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or current CST certification
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Current TB test and Flu Shot
Hepatitis B and Varicella immunity (titers required)
COVID-19 vaccination
Fluent in Spanish and English
Preferred Qualifications: (Optional but Strongly Recommended)
Experience in gastroenterology or endoscopy procedures
Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., ModMed or similar)
Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols
Experience in ambulatory surgical centers (ASC)
Work Environment: Fast-paced ambulatory surgical center
Team-oriented environment with close collaboration between providers, nurses, and administrative staff
High patient interaction with focus on comfort, safety, and efficiency
