The Medical Assistant will primarily assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care and provide support to clinical staff during procedural days. Key duties include performing IV insertions, assisting with patient intake, documentation, and supporting the pre-op and PACU workflow.
Candidates must demonstrate competency in IV insertion and possess strong knowledge of infection control and sterile technique, with Ambulatory Surgery Center experience being strongly preferred. A requirement for this position is being bilingual in English and Spanish, along with holding a current BLS certification.

Summit Surgical Center is seeking an experienced full time Medical Assistant to support our Ambulatory Surgery Center team on an as-needed basis.
The Medical Assistant will assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care and support clinical staff during procedural days. Flexibility and reliability are essential.
Required Qualifications: Demonstrated IV insertion competency (required)
Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience strongly preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
Current BLS certification
Strong knowledge of infection control and sterile technique
Ability to work efficiently in a procedural setting
Professional communication skills and patient-centered demeanor
Responsibilities: Perform IV insertions
Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and documentation
Support pre-op and PACU workflow
Assist with room turnover and supply preparation
Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards
Collaborate closely with RNs and physicians
Full Time: Scheduled around procedural days
Must have flexible availability
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
