Physical Therapist Assistants implement selected components of patient treatment interventions and collect data related to those interventions under the direction of a physical therapist. They also make modifications to interventions as directed by the physical therapist to ensure patient progress, safety, and comfort.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program and hold a current PTA License in good standing. A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant is also required.

Physical therapist assistants (PTAs) work as part of a team to provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist. PTAs implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.
