Sonographer - PRN

Our PRN Sonographer will support the needs of our patients and facility by way of performing the necessary ultrasounds. This is a float position between Sandy Springs, Cumming, Marietta, Piedmont offices. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.

Essential Responsibilities

• Obtain measurements and calculations of female anatomy while performing a detailed ultrasound examination.
• Utilize techniques that result in optimized images.
• Obtain appropriate images that clearly demonstrate ultrasound findings in accordance with specified protocols and accreditation standards.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding pertinent ultrasound findings in a concise, complete and accurate manner.
• Perform departmental tasks that are necessary to maintaining quality throughout all aspects of job duties performed.
• Document results utilizing our electronic medical records system.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• HS diploma or GED, required
• Graduate of an accredited training program resulting in an ARDMS certification
• At least 1 year of ultrasound experience in the field of gynecology/OB or fertility is highly preferred.
