Staff Nurses apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses to health and illness, while collaboratively coordinating the continuum of care across settings. Responsibilities also include developing and implementing patient care plans, documenting interventions, and ensuring a safe environment by following unit policies and universal precautions.
Required education includes an Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or higher in Nursing, along with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and general computer proficiency. Candidates must possess a current Iowa nursing license by the date of hire, with a Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing being highly desired.
