The Medical Assistant will provide professional clinical care by preparing patients for visits, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, and managing the preparation and sterilization of patient care areas. Responsibilities also include recording patient data, performing specimen collection like phlebotomy and injections, and educating patients as directed by the provider.
A high school diploma or GED is required, and a Certified Medical Assistant certification is preferred or must be obtained within 120 days of employment. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited MA program or have relevant military medical experience, along with preferred CPR/BLS certification or the ability to obtain it quickly.
