- Salary Range: $43.28 per hour – $60.59 per hour

What you will be doing
- Responsible for performing mammography procedures.
- Greets patients and provides explanation of procedures.
- Positions patient and adjusts equipment, selecting length and intensity for radiation exposure on individual basis. Observes patient for vital signs during procedure.
- Follows safety standards and uses radiation protection when operating radiologic equipment.
- Develops and examines radiologic images for technical quality and diagnostic acceptability.
- Delivers images to radiologist for reading/interpretation.
- Releases patient upon completion of examination.
- Evaluates and recommends equipment and supply purchase decisions.
- Follows departmental guidelines for proper maintenance of mammography equipment and appearance of related work areas.
- Develops and directs quality assurance program according to established protocols.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and can identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
- Possesses knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement principles and supports performance improvement.
- Must have demonstrated ability to interact positively with Administration, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, peers, co-workers, subordinates, patients and visitors.
- Must be able to place and maneuver patients in appropriate positions for operation of equipment.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to sufficiently pinpoint area for radiography; radiology equipment and testing; safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics, and patient movement.
- Skill in training co-workers in equipment operation and procedures; properly positioning patients to provide quality imaging; troubleshooting equipment operation and performing simple adjustments; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Ability to apply written guidelines and standardized work practices; identify problems; communicate clearly.
What you will bring to the role
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of a formal radiological technology training in an AMA approved school and meet the requirement for registry by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or its equivalent.
- Successful completion of mammography training course.
- An understanding of the MQSA standards.
- Current ARRT and Washington State certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
- Up-to-date Radiology CEUs as is required by both MQSA and ARRT.
