The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide physical therapy treatments under supervision, assisting patients with therapeutic exercises to enhance mobility, strength, and balance. Responsibilities also include monitoring patient responses, reporting progress, educating patients/caregivers, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Candidates must possess an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and hold an active Virginia PTA license along with CPR certification. Preferred qualifications include 1-2+ years of PTA experience, especially in home health, and familiarity with Home Care Home Base (HCHB).

We’re seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic and supportive team. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to deliver personalized, hands-on care. You’ll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to support patients through their rehabilitation journey—helping them regain strength, mobility, and independence in the comfort of their homes.

What You’ll Do as Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Provide physical therapy treatments as outlined in the plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist Assist patients with therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, balance, and coordination Monitor patient responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and techniques for continued care at home Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
What We’re Looking For in a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Active Virginia PTA license & CPR certification 1–2+ years of experience as a PTA (home health experience preferred but not required) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while following a plan of care Compassionate, patient-centered approach Experience with Home Care Home Base (HCHB) is a plus
