The intern assists the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications to patients and various patient care areas within the hospital. This includes identifying, preparing, packaging, labeling, and delivering medications, including sterile products, all under direct pharmacist supervision.
A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required, and the candidate must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or school of Pharmacy. Previous general experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred, as is holding a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Intern license.
