The position is responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, monitoring patient flow, documenting vitals, and performing various clinical duties such as phlebotomy and EKG. Additionally, the role involves significant office duties including greeting visitors, managing calls, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate records for billing.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with current Ohio licensure, or a high school graduate with Medical Assistant certification. Required qualifications include current CPR certification, the ability to perform as a Medical Scribe, proficiency with personal computers, and a valid Ohio driver's license.

Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care and provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from clinic services. Responsible for performing a variety of clinical duties including but not limited to: monitoring patient flow, obtaining and documenting patient vitals, document current medications, chief complaint, performing technical laboratory functions including phlebotomy/EKG/stress testing, monitor/track/charge medical equipment, scheduling procedures and tests. Responsible for performing a variety of office duties including but not limited to: greeting patients, vendors, and other visitors and notifying appropriate staff of their arrival, operating switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls, obtaining current and accurate insurance information each visit, verifying coverage through insurance company, obtaining pre-certifications or prior authorizations as needed, maintaining daily accurate records for timely billing of accounts, notifying patients of account status and payments due using collection techniques to assist in keeping accounts receivable current. Assigned to a specific practice/urgent care but will need to assist in covering other practice sites.
