The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide direct and indirect patient care services within their scope of practice, meeting the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Essential duties include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with patient care, and meeting patient and family communication needs.
Candidates must possess a current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse and a current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire. They are also required to obtain and maintain current IV certification within 30 days of employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care Meets the communication needs of the patient and family Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens, Wound Care and Vital Signs
